Pastor William W. Reed Antioch Church of God in Christ

Pastor

I am the oldest son of five young men, raised by my mother, Apostle Angela Reed Ameri, and grandparents, the late Eddie Reed, Sr., and Williemae Reed in Vero beach, Fl. My adoring aunt, Felicia, helped nurture me as well. I was blessed with 3 children, 2 bonus children, 1 grandson and a loving wife, Lady Tracy E. Paul-Reed, together 9 years, I am an Electrician, Funeral Director Apprentice, a full-time college student in Funeral Services at St. Petersburg College, owner of Semper Chicken & Ribs Food Truck and Semper Handyman Services in Central FL., but I am never too busy for God.

My first introduction to the word of God, was during my youth attending church with my grandparents, in St. Elizabeth Church of Deliverance, under the leadership of Bishop Orville Peterson. Although I felt different inside after an interaction with the Holy Ghost, there was still a lot to learn as far as navigating this thing we call life. During high school, I began by washing the funeral cars and helping around a funeral home, doing various tasks which I learned how to serve others. In the summer of 2002, I graduated from Vero Beach High School and worked in various occupations trying to find my career path. I set forth to make life happen for myself and even others around me, so I opened and owned my own handyman business. I felt a passion to work in funeral service. An opportunity presented itself to work for Postell’s Mortuary in Orlando, FL as a funeral attendant. I was employed for two years, then went into another direction.

I joined the United States Marine Corps in 2008, which was always my dream. I’ve had the chance to travel all over the world, meet many people in my life, which was the good part of military life. I was taught how to be a man in today’s world, learn respect and provide for my family. After returning home, I ventured out to own my own bbq business. I wanted to serve my community in other ways, so this placed a desire in me to help my community and serve families

The drive to serve God’s people was stronger than ever, so I decided to devote my life and time to God even more by serving at Bibleway Church of God in Christ as one the Minister’s under the leadership of Superintendent, Second Administrative Assistant, Auxiliary Bishop Jack Buckner. I was elevated to Elder in August 12, 2023. I do understand that God has given us all very unique gifts to serve him with. It is my mission to break the cycle and stereotype of yesterday’s clergyman, because I do believe that God is not only in the walls of your local church, but he also lives within therefore, my mission within ministry is to “empower people spiritually, develop them educationally, expose them culturally, activate them politically, and strengthen them economically. Early in life, I felt the call to ministry on my life and God let me experience several things to become a well-rounded man of God. February 28, 2025, I was installed as the Pastor of Antioch Church of God in Christ, Avon Park, Fl. where I will continue to walk softly before Christ, while listening to the voice of God as I lead the people God, with the love of the Lord.
